Akure Airport Chose As Perishable Cargo Terminal
The Federal Government, through the aviation Minister, Mrs Stella Oduah, has disclosed that, the Akure Airport has been designated as a perishable cargo terminal.
Making this known on Monday, during
her visit to the airport under construction, in company of state governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, Oduah noted that the perishable terminal would be a gateway to farmers and industrialists, stressing that it would also be a huge platform for employment generation and of a great economical advantage to the state..

Oduah stated that the terminal would be completed within six months while the newly constructed domestic terminal would be completed in three months. She also added that, the Airport when completed would be one of the largest in Nigeria.
In his remarks, Governor Mimiko thanked the Federal Government for its decision to transform the socio- economic landscape of the state and promised the support and cooperation of the state government towards speedy completion of the project.
