Why Christopher Kolade Resigned As Chairman of SURE-P

The crisis rocking the Subsidy Re-investment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) has reached its critical point as the Chairman, Dr. Christopher Kolade has decided to step aside so as to save his name as it appears he is not the one benefiting from the alleged corruption, even though money continue to fly.

Disclosing his decision to walk away from the SURE-P, Dr Kolade said: Continue...

"There comes a time when you are at my age that you ask yourself, is this what you should be doing now? Should you be spending your time at this moment fighting rumours and try to explain the same information many times?"
A source in Abuja said some people were just using the old man's name to misuse cash in the intervention fund "through funny contracts and sycophantic projects without direction". The source said the talk about missing funds in SURE-P really affected Dr Kolade who is already 81years old and wants to go close to his creator now before he departs this earth.

I hear there is no clear picture about the alleged missing funds yet and Dr Kolade has written to Pres Jonathan informing him that he must leave office on or before the end of this November.
